Secretary – Nick Tabet

Nick Tabet began playing pickleball about five years ago and has become quite passionate about the sport, playing almost every day at Westmoreland, Meadow Park, the Bob Keefer Center, or the YMCA. Pickleball has improved his health, expanded his sense of community, and provided many lasting friendships.

Nick’s wife, their two adult children, and their significant others are all pickleball players. Together, they have witnessed the sport’s remarkable growth and have had the opportunity to play pickleball in Portland, Seattle, Cle Elum, Walla Walla, Lake Okoboji, Brooklyn, and Oliver, BC, Canada. Nick hopes to share the insights and experiences gained from playing pickleball in these diverse venues.

With over 35 years of executive experience in product management, customer and technical support management, and business unit management, Nick has developed strong organizational, strategic, and leadership skills, and has a proven track record of directing cross-functional teams, implementing process improvements, and building effective partnerships.

He also has a strong background in non-profit board service, including roles with the Eugene Yacht Club and the South Eugene Soccer Club, where he contributed to advancing youth programs, community engagement, and organizational growth. Nick is known for his hands-on approach and commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive environments.

He is enthusiastic about the Emerald Valley Pickleball Club’s mission and eager to help guide its continued success as a board member, working to expand the opportunity to play pickleball in the community.
